Found between Washington Square Park and Crawford Park, Oakleigh was once a prominent middle-class African American residential area. Street corners held neighborhood grocery stores and local retail. Yet, in recent decades, it hasn’t received the economic investment necessary to sustain its growth. Porchlight is leading that investment.
